		<description>The Appalachian Trail is a great place in the East. If you don&#039;t mind doing just a big circle through a forest, Uhwarrie National Forest in North Carolina still allows overnight camping, I think. It would take you about 3-4 days to walk a big circle around the perimeter. And it&#039;s flat, and not terribly isolated.</description>
