I’m hunting my first season of deer & elk in Montana. For my hunters orange I have a cheap vest. The back pack I’m planning on using isn’t orange and almost completely covers the orange of my vest on my back. Is this a violation of regs? Should I just go out and buy an orange backpack? My hat isn’t orange either. Will this orange vest be good enough for the regulations? Your input & suggestions are much appreciated.

My daughter has been diagnosed with head lice & I need to treat her backpack (I’ve already done the rest of the work to the house, toys, coats, bed, her head etc). The school nurse said to throw it in the dryer on high heat for at least 20 min. I just don’t want to ruin the backpack. Should it be okay?
