An Exciting Adventure Travel is Just a Click Away

How did you like your last vacation? Did you enjoy yourself? Did you find excitement? Was there some time to kick back and relax or did your last vacation consist of getting your family to and fro, with a little yard work and household chores thrown in? Was your last “vacation” essentially a “staycation”? Why not go for something out of the ordinary this year? When you have a small amount of time off, why not check into some of the adventure travels available near your home. Even if you don’t want to leave your state, there are many adventures you can try out. If you can afford to spend a little more, why not treat yourself to a true adventure? Here are some crowd-pleasing adventure travels.

Mountain climbing is a great example of extreme adventure travels. The West Coast Mountain Guides regularly take adventure travelers out on climbing expeditions. You can pick from locations throughout the western Canadian provinces. Excursionists have a choice of rock climbing, ice climbing or even snow mountaineering. If your adventuresome side kicks in, they can take you on an excursion that involves all three.

Before you even think of going on one of these trips, you need to consider getting in the best physical shape you can. Mountain climbing experiences are not to be had by apathetic and out-of-shape individuals! Dude Ranches can be wonderful excursions for the entire family. The Ponderosa Ranch in Nebraska provides you with a laborious ranch vacation. You can be a guest in the ranch’s cabins. During the day you are a true ranch hand. Guests ride horseback and assist in round up and driving the ranch’s cattle from one section of the land to another. At night there are campfire stories to be shared, some home cooking to be enjoyed and some excellent activities to participate in. When you have free time, you have several options to choose from, including hunting, fishing, hiking and riding horses. This is a great vacation for families because people of all ages and skill levels are welcome.

I will be flying into New York City for the day, so I will not be renting a hotel or car. If I am planning on seeing a Broadway play what shouId do with my backpack? I am guessing it is not allowed in the theatre. FYI I have never been to New York, is there any other popular things to do in New York that I cannot wear a backpack while at? Thanks for the information!

Can I put a 100% Polyester backpack in the dryer on HIGH heat?

My daughter has been diagnosed with head lice & I need to treat her backpack (I’ve already done the rest of the work to the house, toys, coats, bed, her head etc). The school nurse said to throw it in the dryer on high heat for at least 20 min. I just don’t want to ruin the backpack. Should it be okay?

What is the best laptop backpack for college?

Soon, I will be attending college (I know, it starts late). I will be commuting by train to and from school everyday. I need a backpack that I can carry my books and laptop in. It has to be well built and safe for my laptop. My laptop is a 15.6" Dell Studio. What would be a good backpack. Thanks.

What is the best way to wash a dirty backpack?

I really need to clean my backpack, the surface of it is filled with dust and it’s very noticeable because my backpack is raspberry pink. What kind of things would be best to wash my backpack with? And how would I do it? (I want to clean the inside of it too) And I have a L.L Bean backpack…if it helps any answers to be more specific.

How do you assemble a backpack and sleeping bag for camping?

New at camping and hiking. My 12 year old is in Boy Scouts. He has packed light, but the backpack is still so bulky. We can’t use a framed backpack because he will have to crawl through some low areas and push his stuff through the opening. I know there must be an easy way to put it all together. The load has to be light enough for a 12 year old child to carry on a caving expedition. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated!
