Green Inventors Awards content knows its three stars. April 23rd had the announcement by Mayor David Miller, Deputy Mayor Joe Pantalone and CityNews Meteorologist Michael Kuss of the top green innovators, at the Direct Energy Centre, Exhibition Place. The Green Toronto Award was handed over to each of the innovators along with a share of the $50,000 prize award.

The young scientists hope to maintain the environment, the prize money is just a bonus. There were lots of very exciting solutions and improvements put forward by all the finalists. Since the idea was to give real ideas, most of the projects were affordable and easily applicable, so one day you may see them applied also in your neighbourhood, or in your own property.

I placed a Bluetooth wireless mike in the lilac bush and from 2 — 3 feet away I got this video of these incredible little hummingbirds.
